Terms of service

Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]. These terms are an agreement between you and [OPERATOR NAME] ("we") for the Reverse Image Search API, MCP connector and website at https://imgorigin.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using an API key, you agree to them.

1. The Service

The Service finds web pages where an image, or a visually similar one, appears. Results come from Google Lens via SerpApi. We don't control or guarantee those results, and they may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. The Service isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

2. Your account and API key

• You need a verified email address. One account per email.
• Keep your API key secret. You're responsible for use of your key. Rotate it if it may have leaked.
• Don't share, sell or pool keys to get around plan limits.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

• identify, locate, track, monitor, profile or harass a private individual, including by searching photos of a person to find out who they are or where they are, without that person's consent;
• stalk, threaten, dox or intimidate anyone;
• process images you don't have the right to use, or images of sexual content involving minors (which we report to authorities), or non-consensual intimate images;
• break any law, or infringe anyone's intellectual-property or privacy rights;
• overload, probe, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, get around rate limits or quotas, or resell access to it without our written permission.

Searching your own photos, or images you have rights to, to find where they appear is fine. So is checking whether a product or listing photo is reused. We may suspend or permanently revoke keys that break these rules, without refund.

4. Plans, billing and refunds

• Free: 25 searches per calendar month (UTC). Pro: $8 per month for 500 searches per calendar month. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
• Search counts reset on the 1st of each month (UTC), independent of your billing date. Repeat searches of the same image within 30 days don't count.
• Pro renews monthly until cancelled. Stripe processes payments.
• Cancel any time in the billing portal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't give prorated refunds for partial months, including if you cancel or delete your account mid-period, except where the law requires it.
• If a renewal payment fails, Pro stays active until the end of the period already paid for, then your account moves to Free.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to the images you submit. You give us only the limited permission needed to run your search: temporarily storing the image and sending it to our search providers. See the privacy policy for how long we keep what.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for the Service to be available but don't guarantee uptime. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue Pro, we'll give notice and refund any unused prepaid period.

7. Disclaimers and liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. WE AREN'T LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. [REVIEW WITH COUNSEL]

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time (DELETE /v1/account). We may suspend or end access for breaches of these terms.
